Manager HR, ICT & Compliance
Anyone with responsibility for BMETT’s ‘Human Resources, ICT & Compliance’ you’d expect to see wandering through the offices with an iPad in one hand and a ‘quality’ magnifying glass in the other.
Not so Blair Thompson, who is calm and cutting-edge capable as our Manager Human Resources, ICT & Compliance. Complementing our BMETT Team of healthcare solutions providers, Blair is well-equipped, with his near decade of studies and practice in fields related to science, business, management and in-the-trenches work-abilities.
His early work trajectory––after whipping through five successful years at Fatima College––saw him growing with experience-gathering as: a law clerk with a prestigious local firm, an intern with a leading insurance group, a production supervisor at Estée Lauder in Pennsylvania, an HR intern at Scotiabank, a BSBA graduate out of Drexel University in Philadelphia; and finally, home for two hands-on stints at BMETT as a change-agent Project Manager and Operations Support Analyst.
Armed with no-nonsense academic credentials (Drexel’s mascot is The Dragon) and a naturally warm but focused personality, Blair—reporting to our Manager Service and Logistics Stephanie Ramaya-Hingoo––is responsible for: key BMETT functions ranging from ‘developing policies, processes, and procedures…to evaluating Customer complaints, maintaining the HR Manual, training staff, resolving issues re BMETT’s CCTV/telephony/printing/site access, monitoring compliance with Siemens regulations, implementing the HSSE Programme…and much more.
And here’s his ‘value added contribution’: Blair is the youngest member of our BMETT Core Team—bringing with him the freshness of modernity and innovation Blair-style—to join forces with the first-rate work being done by our cadre of seasoned and forward-thinking personnel.
At Drexel, the Dragons can ‘dance’––as Blair shows, moving efficiently and effectively to the tunes of corporate aspiration, contribution and achievement.
General Manager Finance & Administration
Hailing from Jamaica, “the land of wood and water”, Marvin Henry has shown himself to be the BMETT General Manager of Finance and Administration who is as reliable as fine wood while being as flexible as living water.
Marvin says he was inspired by the motto of his Kingston-located Calabar High School: ‘The Utmost for the Highest’. So, with an eye on the challenging world of high finance, he embarked on his academic development working through Brooklyn College, CUNY, for his BSc in Finance and Management; followed by New York University for his MSc in Finance and Investments…along the way, receiving awards, scholarships, and elected membership in the prestigious Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.
Turning his qualifications, skills, and his attention to a work career, Marvin took up appointments first with Jamaica Public Services Co Ltd as Finance Manager; then with Morgan Stanley in New York as Major Expenditure Request Controller; followed by other New York-based firms including CitiGroup, Euro RSCG Worldwide, Langone Medical Center, and Fair Mortgage Collaborative at various levels of Finance and Administration.
Airlifting himself back into Jamaica, he first undertook a six-year stint as Managing Director of ProPACE Consulting in Kingston, before heading south to Port of Spain, Trinidad, to join the T&T Ministry of Health as the Finance Manager for the US “President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief” (PEPFAR). His next stop in Trinidad was at Mission Road in Freeport to operate as Chief Finance Officer/Consultant at Kaizen Environmental Services Limited…following which he strode through the open door at BMETT to strap on the mantle of GM, Finance & Management.
Fitting perfectly into the BMETT space, Marvin has brought with him a vision and energy to propel our revenue-producing business processes; simultaneously he has arrived with excellent communication and problem-solving skills which are well-suited to enhancing our BMETT Team Environment.
Though the ease with which he mixes Medicine, Money, and Management tempts us to nickname him our “Marvelous Marvin”, we are confident to look forward to his functioning as the BMETT man of ‘pragmatic wood and progressive water’.
Clinical Products Specialist
We first got Marsha back in 2007, coming to us from her 10-year stint at Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where she had built a reputation for treating people with her well-trained scientific professionalism as well as her infectious smile and contagious spirit.
Always drawn to ‘the sciences that help people’, she entered the National Institute of Higher Education Research Science and Technology (NIHERST) to acquire her Associate in Sciences degree; then on to the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences (Canada) for her post-graduate Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences in Ultrasound; and finally attending the College of Science Technology & Applied Arts of Trinidad & Tobago (COSTAATT) for her prized Bachelor of Science degree in Radiology.
Next, Marsha was an easy choice to be accepted at the Mt Hope Hospital Radiography facilities, entering as a Radiographer Grade-I, and moving steadily up to Senior Radiographer within seven years.
But in 2007, she found her natural fit at Biomedical Technologies Limited, joining us as our Product and Applications Specialist, bringing with her, extensive experience in Imaging Equipment Sales, Applications Training Support, and Service Support Co-ordination. Plus, the passion and personality to establish and maintain BMETT as a leader in imaging technology sales and service.
Today, Marsha is our BMETT expert in Radiography and Sonography, appointed our Clinical Product Specialist, who commands a field in which equipment gets to see through things, and our service gets to see things through.
Marsha takes us to an unbeatable level of professionalism, systemic efficiency, and Client satisfaction…as she remains hard-working and ever-pleasing, maintaining the BMETT tradition of service with a smile, and a solution.
Managing Director
Given the multitude of meanings the word “service” can have, we at BMETT have found in our Service Manager Stefan Johnson, a man who meets virtually every interpretation of the word, and ticks every box required to be the BMETT Service Manager.
A closer look at how Stephan developed his career convinces us that he was destined to join us at BMETT.
He began with his early training at the John Donaldson Technical Institute, following which he headed to Morgan State University in Baltimore, to graduate proudly with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Inspired by Morgan State’s own motto, “Growing the Future and Leading the World”, Stefan undertook the challenge to ‘grow’ and to ‘lead’ by seizing the opportunities to learn and work at prestige operations such as: PowerGen, National Oilwell Varco Downhole Tools Houston, Energy Dynamics, and finally Heritage Petroleum before joining BMETT.
Ever the practitioner as well as the learner, Stephan acquired his MBA from Anglia Ruskin University (again, with distinction), and secured priceless hands-on experience by developing existing and new customers for energy service products and solutions (including HVAC, Building Management Systems, Combination Heat and Power, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency) within the Caribbean.
Our service capabilities at BMETT make us most equipped first-responders, at the disposal of our Clients 24/7/365, and fully geared up with resource personnel such as Stefan––a Service Manager who personifies the meaning of the word ‘service’, with his indispensable experience and expertise literally at his fingertips, and always ready to serve you.
Manager – Regional Sales
When we at BMETT launched our search for the best candidate to uplift our BMETT Regional Sales managerial capacity and capability, we didn’t have to go further than our own homegrown expert: Gerard Torres.
In English and Spanish, the Trini-born señor Torres has made quite a name for himself––especially in the complex export business, locally and across the Region.
At BMETT, he is our “Expert on Export”.
Before becoming BMETT’s official go-to Regional Sales Manager, Gerard spent at least the last 15 years crisscrossing the Caribbean––travelling extensively throughout the Region, establishing markets, signing up relationships, bonding with key players in commercial and Government sectors, ensuring efficiency in the supply chains between T&T and the Caribbean, designing export strategies and structures, and generally giving the hum and buzz to his business transactions to the benefit of and profit to all parties involved.
Gerard began his working life in the 1980s as an Accounts Assistant at the T&T national airline then widely known as BWIA (BEEWEE).
From that smooth lift-off, he has been on an upward trajectory, climbing through varying heights pausing only to gather eclectic and enriching experiences at stops that included: First Citizens Bank, Century Eslon, Rubber and Chemicals Co.Ltd, Langston Roach Industries, Readymix, National Flour Mills Limited, and GTO Services.
With his hands-on work initiatives, he has blended a nonstop intake of academic training by: attending skills-upgrading Senior Courses in areas ranging from Export Costing and Pricing to Human Resource Management; securing Certificates in specialisms from Spanish Proficiency to International Trade; acquiring his Diploma from the UK Institute of Export; earning his MBA from Heriot-Watt University; and entering into pursuit of his Executive MBA at the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business.
But it has been with his in-person performance that Gerard has proven himself to be even more outstanding.
His kind of a well-rounded resource entered the world of BMETT, bringing an energy that has both anchored our Company as a major Regional entity, as well as given us wings to be the global performer that we are.
Gerard Torres is today a lead BMETT Manager for our expansion and innovation, as BMETT keeps travelling throughout our market and rising to even greater heights.

Stephanie Ramaya-Hingoo is a versatile executive and client advocate with fifteen (15) years of experience within the healthcare industry.
Teamed with Kieran, their synergistic compatibility encourages a professional atmosphere that exudes strategic excellence.
During the most recent years, Stephanie has worked with the local distributors for General Electric (GE) Healthcare. Having held multiple positions within Service, Logistics and Operations, she has been instrumental in managing key projects in public hospitals and private health institutions throughout Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
Equipped with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a B.Sc in Radiography, she is committed to ensuring that optimum service quality levels are maintained for the Company.
Whilst spearheading operations within the organisation, Stephanie’s direct function is to engage clients, understand their needs and deliver industry-leading solutions encapsulating excellence synonymous with the BMETT name.
Undoubtedly, her contribution to the organisation is invaluable and plays an integral part of this efficacious Team.
Managing Director
Kieran Thompson brings power to any table—and an especially sterling leadership to BMETT.
Given his 20-plus years of an outstanding track-record in the international business arena, Kieran’s hallmark role at BMETT is as the premier strategist, deploying innovativeness and varied value-additions to the Management Team.
After graduating from the renowned St. Anthony’s College in Port-of-Spain, Kieran went on to study Marketing, Management and Public Relations at the University of the West Indies. He further deepened his academic preparation with an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University–Cambridge, UK, specializing in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
These well-secured credentials, together with his indefatigable work ethic and a gifted understanding of success strategies, allowed Kieran to move upward steadfastly on his career-path, earning the reward, recognition and respect of colleagues and competitors alike.
At the helm of BMETT, Kieran is destined to make a major difference to the healthcare sector locally and Regionally, establishing himself as ‘someone who can identify with the entire health spectrum—from the professionalism of the practitioner to the pain-reduction expectations of the patients and their loved ones’.
